WHAT WE DID

Miss Scotland

Managing the most glamorous event in the Scottish calendar

For the third year in a row, DADA produced the largest and most glamorous event in the Scottish calendar, The Scottish Sun’s Miss Scotland 2009. Through securing additional sponsorship sales, extensive media coverage and celebrity endorsements, DADA took to the challenge of staging a hugely successful event.

This year marked the 10th Anniversary of The Scottish Sun’s Miss Scotland with a change of venue to the SECC. A crowd of three thousand screaming fans, families and friends as well as a pack of glittering celebrities and a huge media throng cheered on the ten finalists together with special appearances by pop sensations, The Saturdays, as well as a host of previous Miss Scotland’s. Dunblane lass Katharine Brown snatched the fiercely fought over crown and the whirlwind media tour began.

Katharine began her tenure as The Scottish Sun’s Miss Scotland with a packed couple of days of interviews, photoshoots and TV appearances featuring on Clyde 1’s breakfast show, Radio Scotland’s Macaulay & Co, STV’s The 5.30 show and Radio Forth as well as regular appearances in her sponsor’s newspaper, The Scottish Sun.

WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU?

Get in touch to find out what DADA can do for your business.

A full DADA press office took over to manage and monitor all the enquiries, and there were lots. The media coverage was unparalleled compared to any other Miss Scotland, with Katharine featuring on ITN and STV lunchtime news, BBC lunchtime news, BBC Five Live, a GMTV national appearance to name but a few and even gracing the front pages of Daily Mail and being interviewed for the BBC.

It’s definitely more tiaras than tantrums when managing The Scottish Sun’s Miss Scotland and it’s an experience we’re delighted to have been involved with.
