Whyte & Mackay, fine whisky distiller & official sponsor of the Premier Darts League, came to DADA looking for new media opportunities to raise awareness and drive sales of their brand.
In 2009, while the giants of the darts world battled it out at the oche, DADA was busy behind the scenes building strong media relationships with key broadcast journalists in each city to maximise on-air coverage of the events, the players and the Whyte & Mackay brand.
DADA invited a host of leading news and lifestyle journalists to take part in darts masterclasses with legends including Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, Raymond Van Barneveld and James Wade resulting in features in high circulation titles including The Times and The Scotsman.

Without a doubt the most fun element of the PR campaign was our April Fool’s Day news story that Phil ‘The Power’ was releasing his very own fragrance - ‘Undeniable Power’ - a whisky infused aftershave that would drive women wild.
DADA created a spoof ad campaign featuring Phil and Miss British Isles based on the Beckhams first fragrance launch, which secured coverage across national and online consumer and trade media outlets including the Daily Mail and The Sun. The spoof was voted the best April Fools Day stunt by readers of the Daily Mirror.
