Donations from lottery winners, motions tabled in parliament and a six-figure fundraising target met… not a bad result for a three month campaign to 'Save the Waverley'.
An energetic traditional and social media campaign saw hundreds of newspapers, radio & TV stations, and online supporters get behind the bid to 'Save the Waverley'.
We are pleased to report that the Waverley will be taking to the waters again for the 2012 season.
