Announcing The Wobbly Banquet

Jelly: a simple food conjuring up thoughts of childhood parties and adult forays into the Atkins diet. Whatever memories the gelatinous foodstuff triggers, we bet you wouldn’t have expected to see a table full of it in George Square. This week we launched a very different kind of fundraising evening: The Wobbly Banquet

Organised in conjunction with the Parkinson’s charity Wobbly Williams, the banquet promises to be the antithesis of your average black-tie fundraiser: featuring celebrities, surprises and no small amount of the colourful dessert.

Wobbly Williams founder Bryn Williams (pictured centre, covered in jelly) has raised over £140,000 for Parkinson’s charities since being diagnosed with the disease three years ago. His fun approach to a serious subject is something we admire at DADA and felt that our Wobbly Banquet concept was something his organisation would both enjoy and benefit from.

Parkinson’s affects every part of a person - mind, body and soul. However, it doesn’t affect the ability to have a cracking good time and we can guarantee you’ll never have experienced a night out like this before.

The Wobbly Banquet takes place at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel on Thursday 30th September and if you’d like to buy tickets we’d love to see you there. Please note that DADA will not be responsible for any dry-cleaning bills incurred.
